Job Type: Full-Time | Mobile Grooming
Pay: $18.00 per hour or 35% commission (whichever is greater)

This position is open only to experienced dog groomers. Candidates must have professional grooming experience in a salon or mobile setting. Bathing or grooming pets at home does not meet this requirement. Applications without verifiable grooming experience listed on the resume will be automatically rejected.

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Dog Groomer to provide exceptional grooming services directly at our clients' homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values high standards of care, and thrives in a fast-paced, on-the-go environment. You will work out of a fully equipped grooming van and be supported by a professional and pet-loving team.

Key Responsibilities

Provide grooming services for dogs of all breeds and sizes
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and sanitation within the mobile grooming van
Manage your daily route efficiently, with 5–7 grooms per day
Drive safely between appointments and communicate professionally with clients
Perform pre-groom coat and health checks
Process payments and recommend additional services
Handle basic maintenance and restocking of the van

What a Typical Day Looks Like

Morning Start

Review daily route and confirm appointments
Check and restock grooming supplies
Inspect van: water tanks, generator, grooming tools, and safety equipment

On the Road

Drive between client locations (typically 10–30 minutes apart)
Park safely, greet the client, and confirm services
Complete each groom and sanitize equipment between appointments
Note any rebooking opportunities or add-ons

End of Day

Empty grey water and restock supplies
Sanitize tools and clean the van interior
Record mileage and maintenance notes

35% commission or $18 per hour (whichever is greater)

Requirements

What We're Looking For:

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a professional dog groomer (proven rockstar status a plus!).
Certification or training from a reputable grooming school? We love to see it (but it's not mandatory).
Deep understanding of various dog breeds, coat types, and their specific grooming needs.
Top-notch grooming skills: bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling like a pro.
A gentle touch and the ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
Excellent customer service and communication skills to build rapport with pet owners.
A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
The physical strength and agility to handle pets and grooming equipment.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
