Job Description
As Head of Development – Cloud Infrastructure, the selected candidate will work in a collaborative and innovative environment where teamwork, technical excellence, and continuous learning are central values.
They will be responsible for the quality and performance of cloud systems, play a key role in defining technical direction, and contribute directly to the organization’s strategic initiatives.
With the support of the Director of Platform and senior leadership, they will have significant autonomy to shape team processes, mentor team members, and build a high-performing and engaged SRE team.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of 3 to 6 SRE engineers, fostering technical skill development and leadership growth within a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Define clear technical direction, enforce quality standards, and promote best practices to ensure robust, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
- Work closely with product, design, development teams, and stakeholders to align technical requirements with business objectives.
- Act as a central point of contact between the team and the organization, ensuring clear communication, aligned expectations, and shared context.
- Track project progress and deliverable quality, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proactively identify risks, potential bottlenecks, and technical challenges, and work with the team to remove obstacles and maintain momentum.
- Continuously evaluate and improve tools, processes, and workflows, encouraging innovation and experimentation where appropriate.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support professional development, provide constructive feedback, and guide career growth.
- Develop and monitor personalized development plans for each team member.
- Recognize individual and team achievements, promote knowledge sharing, and strengthen team cohesion.
- Promote a healthy work-life balance by ensuring sustainable workloads and supporting the team in managing time and responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field, including at least 5 years in a technical or managerial leadership role.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and empower a team.
- Advanced technical expertise, including a strong understanding of both front-end and back-end development, from design through production support.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a focus on strategy and continuous improvement.
- Ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience managing and developing technical teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment (strong asset).
