Description
This position is in-office every day at our East Point location, and the schedule is Sunday – Thursday. This person must be available to work weekend and flexible hours, as needed.

The Atlanta Community Food Bank is working to end hunger in our community with the food, people and big ideas needed so that no one worries where their next meal is coming from. Since 1979, we’ve been providing food for a growing network of nonprofit partners – including food pantries, community kitchens, childcare centers, night shelters and senior centers. We currently serve more than 700 partners in 29 counties across metro Atlanta and north Georgia.

About the Role:
Responsible for supervising operational warehouse functions including but not limited to shipping/receiving, order picking and in-house inventory, while maintaining warehouse cleanliness and appearance, food safety and personnel safety. Responsibilities will include supervising and working alongside team members, collaborating with peer Supervisors to ensure daily work completion, and may also include additional work as deemed necessary and appropriate by the Senior Manager , Logistics. The Supervisor, Operations will also be responsible for managing daily performance and providing operational training to enhance the skills of the team. The Supervisor, Operations will report to Senior Manager , Logistics.
What You’ll Do:
Supports Team:
- Works with Senior Manager , Logistics. to develop and execute daily work schedules and assignments.
- Ensures compliance with food safety, inventory management, customer service and operational standards.
- Conducts job specific training for Operations staff.
- Provides first level of support in addressing employee complaints, suggestions, and Concerns.
- Understands and applies Employee Handbook Policies consistently and fairly.
- Operations and Warehousing:
- Participates in team goal setting and strategic planning activities
- Ensures housekeeping responsibilities are completed in a timely Manner
Ensure accuracy while receiving loads on daily basis.
- Ensure compliance with organization policies and procedures for company safety and security standards
- Participates in periodic equipment and warehouse condition audits and inspections
- Maintains general knowledge of OSHA, Feeding America & AIB regulations.
- Communicates effectively with and supports internal and external customers
- Initiates resolution of day-to-day customer, operational and service issues.
- Effectively raises ongoing issues to leadership and participates in corrective action processes
Administration:
- Participates on committees or groups to improve business effectiveness.
- Ensures all required reporting and documentation is properly controlled and
processed.

What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience your resume should demonstrate:
- Solid work history motivating, organizing, and leading a diverse work group,
including ensuring adherence to safety standards and work procedures and delegating work assignments
- Demonstrated work experience with inventory management software, ERP and WMS.
- Solid working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- This position would normally have routine opportunities to alter physical position or change eye focus.
