About the Role

The Red Hat Sales team is seeking a Senior Account Executive to lead strategic growth within key enterprise accounts. In this role, you will develop and execute business strategies that accelerate Red Hat’s success in the financial services and enterprise sectors. You will act as a trusted advisor to C-level stakeholders, aligning Red Hat’s open hybrid cloud solutions with customers’ transformation objectives to deliver measurable business outcomes.

As a Senior Account Executive, you will own the full sales lifecycle — from strategic account planning, pipeline generation, and deal orchestration to long-term customer success. You will collaborate closely with Solution Sales Specialists, Solution Architects, Partners, and Services teams to drive new business, renewals, and expansion within your territory.

What You Will Do

  • Drive strategic account growth: Build and execute multi-year account strategies focused on expanding Red Hat’s footprint in key enterprise and financial accounts.
  • Own the customer relationship: Engage senior business and IT leaders to understand their transformation priorities, identify opportunities, and position Red Hat’s hybrid cloud, automation, and application modernization solutions.
  • Deliver revenue performance: Lead and close complex sales cycles to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets across new sales, renewals, and expansions.
  • Lead account governance: Maintain accurate pipeline and forecast using CRM tools, ensuring visibility and operational excellence across all stages of the sales cycle.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Solution Sales, Technical Account Management, and Services to deliver integrated value and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Leverage partners strategically: Work with Red Hat’s ecosystem of global and local partners to co-sell and deliver joint customer success.
  • Apply disciplined sales practices: Utilize proven methodologies such as MEDDPICC, strategic account planning, and quarterly business reviews to drive execution and consistency.
  • Represent Red Hat as a thought leader: Participate in industry events and customer forums, positioning Red Hat as a trusted advisor in digital transformation and open innovation.

What You Will Bring

  • 7+ years of technology or enterprise software sales experience, with a consistent record of achieving or exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas.
  • Proven success managing large enterprise or financial services accounts, driving strategic engagements and complex deal cycles.
  • Strong understanding of open source, cloud, automation, and container technologies (Linux, OpenShift, Ansible, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with C-suite executives and key decision makers.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to link technology solutions to measurable business value.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and modern sales tools.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across regions and functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support customers and business objectives.
