Position Title: Part Time Design Checker-Electrical

Location: Houston, TX

Position Description

Perform senior level detail checking of electrical instrumentation design including complex designs and layouts of One line Diagrams, E/I Plans, Sections & Details, Wiring Diagrams and Schematic Diagrams utilizing CAD hardware and software.


Essential Functions

· Review vendor drawings and information.

· Perform detail check of discipline drawings for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and industry standards.

· Read and comprehend PID’s.

Requirements

Qualifications

· Ability to work with Autocad and Navisworks

· 30 or more years of experience in a drafting environment.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.


Education

· High school diploma. Associates Degree or certification from technical trade school preferred.


Competencies

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively


Work Environment/Physical Demands

· Working conditions are normal for an office environment.

· Frequent sitting and operating a computer.

· Must be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.

· Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.

· Physical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.
