About the Role

Description

Summit Truck Bodies LLC, a quality manufacturer of custom designed service and lube truck bodies, is expanding its workforce due to increasing sales. Summit Truck Bodies is looking for a Robotic Programmer to monitor robots throughout the manufacturing process and ensure quality and function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Moves robotic controls and guides to adjust robotic cell.
  • Program robot pathways and application controls on computer and at robotic cell.
  • Engages equipment and observes applications.
  • Ability to start robotic cell and observe operation.
  • Resolve repetitive quality defects through investigation and corrective action.
  • Conduct software updates and calibrations.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on robots.
  • Provide corrective action to robot faults.
  • Demonstrates responsibility for safety, quality and production.
  • Maintain all required records.
  • Follow all safety procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Requirements

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Frequent mobility and / or sitting, standing, bending or stooping for prolonged / extended periods.
  • Requires lifting up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Requires stretching to reach items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires working in areas which are not ventilated or air-conditioned.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination sufficient to operate machinery.
  • Requires exposure to chemicals and solvents.
  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours.
  • Requires working in a fast-paced environment
  • Requires a normal range of hearing and vision
  • Must understand vague and implicit instructions and react favorably in all work situations
  • Must be able to communicate providing verbal feedback in a professional manner

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license with good standing MVR.
  • 1 year of experience in robotic programming or related role preferred.
  • Excellent creativity, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to utilize a computer with basic software skills.
  • Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
