Job Description

We are seeking a highly accomplished and results-driven Division Director – Bridges & Steel Construction to lead and oversee our Bridges Division, which forms the core business of the company. The role requires full strategic, technical, operational, and commercial responsibility for the planning, execution, and delivery of complex bridge and steel structure projects, primarily for RTA Dubai and other government authorities.

The ideal candidate will bring extensive leadership experience in large-scale bridge construction projects, a strong command of RTA standards and approvals, and a proven track record in managing multidisciplinary teams and high-value infrastructure portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overall strategic leadership and direction for the Bridges & Steel Construction Division, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of bridge and steel structure projects, from tendering and design coordination through construction, commissioning, and handover.

  • Oversee planning, budgeting, cost control, and profitability of all divisional projects.

  • Ensure full compliance with RTA Dubai, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant authority standards, specifications, and approval processes.

  • Manage and mentor senior project managers, construction managers, engineering teams, and support functions within the division.

  • Drive value engineering initiatives, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation strategies across all projects.

  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure timely decision-making and project success.

  • Lead tender reviews, bid strategies, contract negotiations, and claims management for major bridge and steel works.

  • Establish and enforce high standards for quality, HSE, and sustainability across all bridge construction activities.

  • Monitor market trends and contribute to business development, prequalification, and strategic growth initiatives in the infrastructure sector.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.

  • Minimum 15 years of proven experience in Bridge Construction, with substantial exposure to RTA Dubai bridge projects (mandatory).

  • Demonstrated senior leadership experience managing large-scale bridge and steel structure projects in the UAE.

  • Strong knowledge of bridge construction methods, steel structures, foundations, bearings, expansion joints, and marine/road interface works.

  • In-depth understanding of FIDIC-based contracts, commercial management, claims, and risk control.

  • Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong command of project controls, planning tools, and performance management systems.

  • Bilingual (English/ Arabic) candidates prefered for this role.
