In concentrating the practice on the representation of large national mortgage servicing entities, McCalla Raymer Leibert Pierce has earned a reputation as a leader in the residential mortgage default industry, working in tandem with its clients to minimize losses.
About the Role

SUMMARY:

This position is focused on administrative and mailroom responsibilities and includes but is not limited to handling certain tasks associated with filings, legal documents, and correspondence. In this position, you will need to possess the willingness to work well in a team environment as well as the ability to work independently at times. No legal experience necessary. This position is full-time, onsite at our office in Chicago, IL.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Document scanning, copying and mailing.
  • Filing documents in court cases electronically and physically.
  • Maintaining detailed logs and records of all original documents received and their chain of custody
  • Working independently at times filing legal documents in dedicated file room.
  • Consistently and accurately updating case management systems.
  • Retrieving and responding to a variety of clients and internal firm requests via phone, email and workflow steps.
  • Learning basic legal documents and terminology.
  • Ensuring timely, courteous, and thorough responses to a heavy volume of email correspondence.
  • Providing exceptional customer service to clients at every level of interaction.
  • Providing support to attorneys in a high volume, time sensitive atmosphere.
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality of client and borrower information and firm processes.
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as needed.
  • Ability to carry 10 pounds or more


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to work with others in a congenial and team-oriented manner.
  • Must be self motivated.
  • Must possess exceptional organizational skills; the position requires the ability to multi-task and be adaptable to continual change.
  • Must have excellent attention to detail.


EDUCATION:

  • High school degree required.
  • College degree strongly preferred.
  • Must have recently graduated from college or have 2-3 years of relevant experience.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Normal office working conditions. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate. This is a full-time onsite position Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
