Toyon Research Corporation is looking for a Financial Analyst to collect, track, and report cost performance across multiple projects. The Financial Analyst will compile and deliver accurate Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics to fulfill customer reporting requirements. They will be responsible for analyzing cost trends and preparing variance reports to guide the Program Management Office in strategic budget planning.


Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from financial system, compile and analyze information to support diverse project initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and DAR/FAR government regulations.
  • Develop quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs), including variance analysis and tracking risk and opportunities
  • Evaluate past financial performance and assist with forecasting efforts when required
  • Assist with resource loading Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Collaborate on proposal efforts by providing analytical and financial support
  • Assist in streamlining financial tracking systems and recommend process improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of finance/accounting experience
  • Strong understanding and practical application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and industry standard practices
  • Experience producing cost proposals and supporting information for various types of contracts (CPFF, T&M, FFP)
  • Must be detail-oriented and capable of communicating effectively across varying project teams and all levels of management
  • Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience preferred

The annual pay range for the Financial Analyst position is $90,000 to $150,000. 


The posted pay range values provide the candidate with guidance on annual base compensation for the position, at a full time level of effort, exclusive of overtime, bonus, and benefits-related compensation, over a range of qualifications that may fit hiring objectives. Toyon Research Corporation will consider the individual candidate’s education, work experience, applicable knowledge, skills and training, among other factors, when preparing an offer of employment.
