Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collects and counts revenue from various drop sources per the Gaming Control Board and property guidelines.
  • Counts, sorts and organizes all currency, vouchers and paperwork from the drop containers
  • Retrieves drop boxes from storage area, distributes boxes around the slot machines in the casino, drop the filled boxes and replace with empty boxes
  • Loads the currency counter equipment utilizing the counter interface and collects, sorts and reconciles counted funds.
  • Totals all cash, vouchers and reconciling documents
  • Perform slot machine maintenance as required when the drop and count is completed.
  • Count currency.
  • Strap and hand stamp currency bundles
  • Secure count room and account for keys.
  • Monitor and maintain all equipment that is used in the operation of count room function.
  • Ability to perform limited repairs of count room equipment.
  • Observe safety policies and procedures including but not limited to safe lifting, use of ear plugs, and use of properly working machinery.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent math skills and accuracy
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must have valid Nevada driver’s license and insurance
  • Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift drop boxes to counter height
  • Ability to work in small enclosed areas with the same people for an extended period of time
  • Mobility to move quickly about the property
  • Ability to stand for a long period of time
  • Ability to reach, grasp, bend, squat, and push/pull heavy carts
  • Position has contact with the public and required the ability to work in a noisy, smoke-filled casino

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Must be 21. High school diploma or GED required. Previous casino cage or high-volume cash handling experience 

Certificates and Licenses: 

  • Gaming Registration Card.
