School Counselor (PK-8)  


Join our dedicated educational community as a School Counselor, where you will play a vital role in supporting the social-emotional development of students from Pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade. We are seeking a compassionate and experienced professional committed to fostering a positive and inclusive school environment. Key Responsibilities  

- Provide social-emotional learning (SEL) guidance and support to students across all grade levels (PK-8).  

- Develop and implement individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.  

- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to create a supportive and inclusive school climate.  

- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support students' mental health and well-being.  

- Promote positive behavior and conflict resolution strategies within the school community.  

- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and interventions in compliance with school policies.  

- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and student support teams.  


Requirements

 

Skills and Qualifications  


- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, School Counseling, or a related field.  

- Valid school counseling certification or license preferred, not required.

- Proven experience working in a school environment, preferably with diverse student populations.  

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and families.  

- Knowledge of social-emotional learning strategies and mental health best practices.  

- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.  

- Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
