We are looking for engineers with expertise in Physical Layer concepts and firmware development. As a member of the UWB Software team, you will be responsible for developing software modules for the PHY and some part of MAC layer of various UWB chipsets.</p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">Location: </span>Daily onsite presence at our San Jose, CA&nbsp; headquarters in alignment with our Flexible Work policy</span></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">What You’ll Do</span></strong></span></p> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and test software modules for UWB chipsets, with a focus on MAC layer functionality.</li> <li>Debug real-time systems, working hands-on with development boards and lab equipment</li> <li>Participate in feature bring-up/interoperability activities with external certification labs as well as customer sites.</li> <li>Collaborate with product S/W and manufacturing teams to provide system-level API and firmware functionality to meet end-user requirements.</li> <li>Collaborate with System engineering teams to architect, define and implement innovative algorithms, calibrations, and protocols.</li> <li>Support post-silicon bring up, validation, performance characterization, system integration, and debug.</li> </ul> <p><strong style="font-size: 12pt;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;">What You Bring</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelors with 10+ years, Masters with 8+ years or PhDs with 5+ years of experience.</li> <li>Excellent coding skills in C programming languages.</li> <li>Strong Understanding of UWB standards &amp; domain knowledge of UWB &nbsp;MAC / PHY Specifications</li> <li>Understanding of UCI layer, FiRa ranging and CCC standard is desirable.</li> <li>Understanding of physical layer concepts (e.g., modulation analysis (OFDM), channel estimation, radar) is added advantage.</li> <li>Experience in developing firmware for UWB communication protocols 802.15.4z and 802.15.4ab.</li> <li>Fluency in using lab equipment such as logic analyzers/oscilloscopes/network analyzers/spectrum analyzers/signal generators/power meters etc.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving skills &amp; analytical skills.</li> <li>The ideal candidate should have experience or knowledge on below domains:&nbsp; Modern UWB specifications like 802.15.4z/8092.15.4ab/FiRa/DCK/CCC.</li> <li>You’re inclusive, adapting your style to the situation and diverse global norms of our people.</li> <li>An avid learner, you approach challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding.</li> <li>You’re collaborative, building relationships, humbly offering support and openly welcoming approaches.</li> <li>Innovative and creative, you proactively explore new ideas and adapt quickly to change.</li> </ul> <p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 10pt;">#LI-VL1</span></p> <p></p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>What We Offer<br></strong>The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions.
