The Teams Engineering organization is hiring a Senior Business Manager to be a thoughtful partner and operational driver reporting to the Chief of Staff, supporting the Corporate Vice President (CVP) and their broader leadership team. Our org is responsible for building foundational experiences and technology for Microsoft Teams across Enterprise and Consumer. Microsoft Teams is the fastest growing enterprise application in the history of Microsoft.
The Senior Business Manager will drive critical work across operations (budget, headcount), rhythm of the business (product reviews, planning and key initiatives (culture, how we work). The right candidate is someone who can lead effectively across a broad scope of work for a large and fast-paced multi-discipline organization. Key to this role is the ability to operate with the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, inclusivity, and trust. This role will partner across many stakeholders for Teams Core deliverables and requires someone who is a team player, a self-starter, and adaptable to jumping in to solve issues and drive solutions across the business especially when competing priorities arise.
This role will report to the Chief of Staff in support of a multi-disciplinary team across Engineering, Program/Product Management, Data Science, and Applied Science.

Responsibilities
- Partners with Finance and Procurement to manage budgets, forecasting, and resource planning.
- Leads key areas of the rhythm of the business such as Teams Product Day, planning rhythms, culture initiatives, and Teams Core presence at relevant conferences.
- Partners with Chief of Staff to land internal content by developing communications to share important messages, dates, and milestones with the broader organization.
- Provide hands-on program management to ensure objectives are met on time and outcomes are delivered, adjusting course as necessary to achieve results.
- Creates clarity in ambiguous situations to enable prioritization and decision-making at scale.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 4+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
- 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 8+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
- OR equivalent experience.
Business Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
