About the Position:
The HR Specialist provides support across a variety of human resources functions, including onboarding, employee engagement, payroll coordination, compliance, and general HR administration. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and supports day-to-day HR operations by ensuring timely and accurate handling of tasks while maintaining a strong focus on service, accuracy, and confidentiality. This position follows a night shift schedule and operates under a remote work setup, with some days required on-site.

What You’ll Do:
Support the onboarding process for new hires, including background checks, system setup, and coordination of new hire documents and orientation logistics.
Assist with employee engagement initiatives such as surveys, recognition programs, and wellness events.
Partner with payroll or finance teams to ensure employee data is accurately maintained and payroll changes are processed timely (e.g., new hire entries, terminations, timekeeping issues).
Maintain employee records in accordance with company policies and compliance requirements.
Respond to general employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and systems.
Provide administrative support for HR programs including benefits enrollment, compliance training, and performance processes.
Assist in compiling HR data for reporting, audits, or compliance filings as needed.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support HR projects or communications.
Help ensure all HR processes are executed efficiently and confidentially with attention to detail.
What You’ll Bring:
One year of experience in human resources, office administration, or a related role preferred; internship or academic HR exposure also considered.
General understanding of HR functions such as onboarding, payroll, or employee engagement is preferred.
Proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language as required for effective performance of job duties.
Possess an overall knowledge of business functions and understanding of services, business strategy, policies and procedures, and job’s impact to the organization.
Obtain facts and data pertaining to an issue or question.
Understand, interpret, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Work with electronic hardware and software applications specific to the role.
Work independently, see business needs and proactively accomplish them for the betterment of their team and the organization.
Proactively obtain and share information tailored to the audience.
Attend to the needs and expectations of customers.
Collaborate with others to achieve shared goals.
Engage effectively in dialogue.
