About the Role
This role seeks a sales representative with drive, new ideas, creativity and foresight to help us shape the future of our company.


North American Slate is the American subsidiary of Rathscheck Schiefer, one of the leading international producers of premium quality slate and products for the design of aesthetic living spaces.  We invite you to become a part of our growing company.  

Responsibilities:

  • Identifying and prospecting new customers building relationships that create lasting partnerships.
  • Meeting contractors, suppliers, and architects while effectively negotiating within the provided framework as it relates to pricing flexibility, acceptable contract terms and any potential concessions achieving sales objectives.
  • Managing the entire sales life cycle from prospecting to deal close.
  • Providing consistent reporting to leadership for current and future sales and project oversight.
  • Accurately provide project sales forecasting and monitoring of pipeline projects to reach sales targets.  
  • Managing leads within assigned territory, sending information and samples, coordinating logistics.
  • Estimating, quoting and analyzing costs to strategically sell offered slate products in a competitive market.
  • Ongoing account management including lead generation, qualification, product presentation, negotiation, closing the sale and post-sale account management.

What we are looking for:

  • Proven sales experience preferably in a related field.
  • A success-oriented attitude evidencing enthusiasm, flexibility, drive and resilience.
  • Relationship building skills with the ability to influence others.
  • Love for communicating and high pleasure in dealing with customers and people in general.
  • Self- motivated with a success-oriented attitude, determination and drive.
  • Cooperative and being team-oriented in mindset and actions.
  • A willingness and enjoyment of traveling and face to face contact as this role requires extensive travel that may exceed 50% of the time.

What we provide:

  • $65,000 to $75,000 highly competitive base salary coupled with bonus remuneration based upon sales target achievement.
