About The Company
Since 2019, Papaya has been committed to shaping the future of gaming through an innovative and forward-thinking approach to game development. We believe that gaming should be about more than just luck, which is why our games are designed to reward skill, strategy, and perseverance. Ranked by Dun’s 100 as one of the top 50 hi-tech companies in Israel to work for.
About the Role

Papaya is one of the world’s fastest-growing mobile gaming companies, delighting millions of players worldwide. Headquartered in Tel Aviv, we’re driven by a culture of ownership, speed, and excellence.

Our New Games unit operates like an independent studio inside Papaya. We build the company’s next growth engines in the real-money skill-gaming space—moving quickly from bold concepts to playable prototypes, then refining through data, iteration, and player insight.

We’re looking for a Product Designer to join Papaya’s New Games Hub, a team focused on creating and validating new competitive, skill-based games end-to-end.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role. You’ll shape the competitive experience, write design documentation, define the core “seed” system, and iterate based on live learnings—until the game is ready to scale.

In this role, you’re the game’s scriptwriter: crafting a rich, competitive environment and designing seed structures that keep gameplay fair, balanced, and highly competitive.

Responsibilities

As a Product Designer, you will:

  • Design seeds daily for competitive gameplay
  • Own seeds difficulty for short competitive sessions
  • Define the MVP scope and write GDDs for rapid execution

Requirements

  • Experience with PvP / tournaments systems (or designing skill-first mechanics).
  • Product mindset: MVP-first, iterative, data-driven.
  • 2+ years of experience.
  • Comfortable collaborating across functions in a fast-moving environment.

Bonus Points

  • Familiarity with automated seed generation and procedural design
  • Analytical background or comfort working with BI dashboards and game data

About You

You think like a player and design like an analyst. You love fine-tuning systems where skill truly matters, where fairness, precision, and tension define the fun. You’re a people person with strong communication skills, thriving in collaboration and fast-moving, experimental environments.
