Summary:
The Financial Analyst at AMC is responsible for delivering financial reports and analyses of billing metrics, the revenue cycle, and other financial data that assist the CFO and leadership team in evaluating financial performance, identifying opportunities, analyzing existing revenue streams, assessing payer contract performance, and making timely decisions that impact the organization's financial health. This key team member will also support the CFO in optimizing systems and managing projects related to system integrations and enhancements to improve organizational productivity. The position will collaborate with the internal Epic support team and third-party contractors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet their goals.
Some Duties include:
· Completes monthly reporting and dashboards for revenue cycle financial analysis.
· Provides standardized financial reporting through the Ochin Epic system and Epic application reporting tools.
· Collaborates with cross-functional teams within AMC to support project goals and initiatives.
· Identifies and helps implement new revenue cycle stream opportunities.
· Analyzes current business processes and make recommendations for improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
· Critiques aging analysis and assists with process improvement and procedure development by reviewing aging reports, identifying trends, risks, and discrepancies, and supporting improvements to related financial processes and procedures.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Finance or Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or Information Systems required; Master’s degree preferred; or any combination of relevant education and experience.
· 3–5 years of experience in analytics and application systems, healthcare industry preferred.
· Experience working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment is highly desirable.
· Experience working with Epic, advanced Excel, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
· Prior Project management experience or PMP certification is a plus.
· Experience with Sage Intacct or Microsoft Dynamics Accounting software preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Certified Associate of Health Information Management (CAHIMS) required.
• Microsoft Certifications, Medical certifications, or Coding certifications preferred.
• SQL reporting, Advanced Excel, Epic certifications and Project Management software or PMP certification preferred.
