As Ohio's premier craft beverage distributor, we are seeking an aggressive, passionate, self-starting individual, who has what it takes to join our warehouse management team. As a Pick Supervisor, you will be responsible managing and overseeing the pick process ensuring efficient and effective completion of all warehouse operations under the direction of the Warehouse Manager. This includes, but not limited to ensuring all orders are picked accurately and safely, trucks are loaded for next day delivery, and the warehouse is cleaned and ready for next day’s operations. Hours are Monday - Thursday working approximately 3 pm - 11:30 pm or end of pick and Fridays approximately 3 - 7 pm (hours a bit flexible on Friday).


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Manage and supervise the day-to-day activities of the 2nd shift warehouse department, including receiving, storage, and loading of products.
  • Hire, train and retain an effective team of warehouse personnel, creating a culture of professionalism and accountability.
  • Ensure that pick team accurately and safely picks all orders, building pallets according to Warehouse Management System (WMS) specifications.
  • Stack, wrap and label pallets correctly for each route.
  • Stage pallets properly for efficient loading
  • Ensure that trucks are loaded accurately for next day deliveries.
  • Ensure that the team maintains a clean and safe warehouse, performing nightly housekeeping duties.
  • Identify operational opportunities to improve our processes for greater efficiency, effectiveness or safety.
  • Coordinate and participate in the ongoing physical inventory of warehouse items.
  • Operate a forklift, pallet jack and man lift.
  • Check quality of product prior to pulling order. Report poor quality items to management.
  • Ensure that proper staffing levels are maintained at an appropriate level.
  • A high degree of integrity is a must.
  • Consistently make good decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.
  • Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s Degree or greater is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum (2-5) years of relevant work experience is required.
  • 2+ years of warehouse operations/management/leadership experience is required.
  • Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings and late nights as required.
  • Partner and establish strong working relationships with other departments that provide support to the overall operation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledgeable of OSHA Standards and regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have a valid unexpired driver's license
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
