Summary

The Camp host is responsible for operating McWilliams Campground for the winter season. The Host will be available on site as scheduled to assist guests in acquiring campsites as well as providing information regarding the site. The host will also assist in maintaining the site for guest satisfaction.

 

NOTE: An RV or Mobile Camping Trailer is required for this position. Lee canyon will provide utility hook-ups including water, propane and electricity at no charge.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Clears snow and ice from walkways using shovels, ice chippers and snowblowers.
  • Clean recreation areas by picking up trash and clearing debris from grills and fire pits.
  • Cleans and resupplies restrooms and other Winter Rec facilities as needed.
  • Collects Payments from Campground guests; Ensures proper amounts are paid and proper change is given. Enters payment into our system and provides daily profits to the Manager.
  • Informs guests of operation hour and site rules; Is able to respond to guests regarding a variety of questions.
  • Checks and Monitors heater operation and propane levels; issues will be reported to the Manager.
  • Helps to set up snow fencing and other barricades to ensure public safety.
  • May be tasked to assist at other Winter Rec sites.
  • Must be able to work Weekends and Holidays.

Qualifications


 

Material and Equipment Directly Used:

  • Snow Shovels, Ice Chippers and other hand tools
  • Snowblower (Training Required)

Working Environment/ Physical Activities:

  • This position frequently requires you to spend extended periods of time outside in sub-freezing temperatures, being on your feet, interacting with guests or even clearing snow and doing other moderately physical tasks.
