Description

Position Summary

University Christian School is seeking a dependable and service-oriented IT Assistant to support the daily technology needs of our school and ministry. This part-time position provides front-line help desk support, assists teachers and staff with technical issues, and helps maintain reliable technology systems across campus. The ideal candidate is patient, proactive, and enjoys serving others in a Christ-centered educational environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide help desk support for faculty and staff, responding to technology requests and troubleshooting issues in a timely manner
  • Assist teachers and staff with classroom technology, including computers, printers, projectors, smart boards, and instructional software
  • Support Wi-Fi connectivity and network troubleshooting throughout the school and ministry campus
  • Assist with setup, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of hardware and software
  • Help with device updates, password resets, user access, and account support as needed
  • Support technology needs for school and ministry events, meetings, and special programs
  • Document issues, solutions, and recurring problems to assist with long-term improvements
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with staff of varying technical skill levels
  • Perform other technology-related duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networking, and common troubleshooting practices
  • Familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems
  • Experience working with Wi-Fi, printers, classroom technology, and user support
  • Strong customer service mindset with patience and clear communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology systems
  • Prior help desk or IT support experience preferred, but not required

Work Schedule
