Oneida Health is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our growing Primary Care network, which includes eleven board-certified physicians and seven APPs. The ideal candidate will have three or more years of experience and be a self-starter who can “hit the ground running.” Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM. There is no call requirement. This position is located at our Verona Health Center in Verona. Sign-on negotiable at time of hire.
Compensation: $115,000 to $140,000 per year based on experience
Sign-on: Negotiable at time of hire.

- Assessing and establishing a presumptive diagnosis and implementing treatment plans.
- Making accurate and complete entries into the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing and consults as appropriate, and prescribing appropriate medical therapy utilizing evidence-based practice.
- Prescribing, adjusting, or discontinuing medications or therapies as appropriate.
- Evaluating and reporting to physicians any circumstances or test results that present a significant risk to patient health or well-being.
- Performing procedures within the scope of practice of the physician assistant license.
- Communicating appropriate information to physicians, patients, PCP, and referring staff.
- Providing safe, ethical care and health education to patients and their families, instilling confidence in patients and acting as their advocates.
