Position Summary

The Electronic Health Records Specialist will support all users in the organization with all aspects of the Electronic Health Records (EHR) system including new implementations, maintenance as well as any updates to the EHR. The Electronic Health Records Specialist will also be available for on-site support as needed.

 

Major Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct classroom setting training by conveying established material for all staff including clerical, clinical, billing.
  • Provide onsite support to assist with transition of classroom to office environment
  • Follow protocols of standard troubleshooting issues.
  • Research, evaluate and resolve all Help Desk tickets that sent from end users.
  • Assist in researching, correcting, and merging duplicate patient records in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
  • Participate in implementation and transition to new software modules and upgrades as needed.
  • Perform testing on new builds and applications during implementation and maintenance phases.
  • Perform practice level maintenance, research and system testing, ability to generate reports, and document all changes and statues in a complete and thorough manner: to include educating sites, and pulling HQM reports to ensure sites are compliant with MIPS and other government programs.
  • Attend meetings and work with sites and departments to assist with process improvement, integration and efficiency related to software functionality.
  • Assist with workflow redesign and processes as necessary.
  • Maintain system date integrity by strictly following IT protocols.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Education / Training / Requirements

 

 

  • Associates degree or equivalent.
  • Previous knowledge of eClinicalWorks (eCW) Healthcare Application Suite (Preferred).
