GENERAL PURPOSE

The Engineering Support Facilitator will provide essential support on the ongoing maintenance of hardware and software systems supporting Assets Essentials applications across all Crown Linen plants. This role will also manage local inventories, including parts, chemicals, and other materials required for equipment repairs and maintenance. Working closely with Maintenance and Operations teams, the Engineering Support Facilitator will ensure all facility assets are accurately represented in CMMS, including asset hierarchies, nameplate data, job plans, and preventive maintenance schedules. This role will play a key part in the optimization of our equipment and the utilization of Assets Essentials across all locations, helping us to continuously have productive and efficient maintenance planning and
execution. This position does not directly manage plant personnel but sets standards and provides training and oversight. This position
reports to the Corporate Chief of Engineering and requires substantial on-site presence at the various Crown Linen plants.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide clear directions to Maintenance and Operation personnel on Assets Essentials use.
  • Acting as Superuser for the Assets Essentials system.
  • Inputting asset data into the Assets Essentials system.
  • Provide continue support to the Maintenance and Engineering staff related to the use of the Assets Essentials system.
  • Work with Engineering Managers to ensure inventory and control programs, purchasing policies, etc. are implemented and administered consistently in the Assets Essentials system.
  • Work with Engineering Managers and Maintenance staff to identify possible aftermarket opportunities across all the equipment and plants.
  • Decrease maintenance parts inventory value by 10–20% while reducing critical part stock-outs through improved inventory controls and usage tracking.
  • Implement best practices for parts room inventory management to reduce inventory value and increase turns.
  • Identify system shortcomings and implement programs to mitigate identified operational issues.
  • Set up asset lists and coordinate annual reviews for accuracy.
  • Achieve higher than 95% CMMS asset accuracy and higher than 90% preventive maintenance compliance across all plants, resulting in fewer reactive and emergency repairs.
  • Provide support to the Maintenance staff for quarterly updates and changes to preventive maintenance tasks and scheduled events as needed.
  • Coordinate with plant leadership to ensure all equipment and facilities are accurately documented in the Assets Essentials upon installation.
  • Reduce unplanned equipment downtime by 10–15% on critical production assets through standardized maintenance strategies and improved work order execution.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining standardized procedures for equipment maintenance, inventory management, and preventive maintenance programs across all plants.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering team to analyze equipment performance data and recommend improvements or process changes.
  • Implement standardized maintenance processes, PM templates, and KPI reporting across all plants with consistent adoption and visibility.
  • Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory requirements in relation to maintenance and equipment management.
  • Support cross-plant audits of equipment, inventory, and maintenance processes to ensure consistency and data accuracy.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Job requires significant travel (approximately 50%), but might vary based on project phase (rollouts, audits, major installs, etc.)
  • Must have valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass background check.
  • Job requires ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
  • Requires the employee to be able to climb ladders and/or scaffolding and to occasionally work at heights on personnel lift equipment.
  • Able to lift 40 pounds.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to function effectively in fluid, fast-paced situations, with personal leadership to influence and positively motivate self and peers.
  • Effective Team Dynamics Skills.
  • Able to relate to and train Engineers.
  • Solid technical background in use of computer, software, and mobile devices
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
