Responsibilities include defining technical standards, mentoring teams, ensuring code quality, and optimizing performance, requiring strong expertise in system design, DevOps, APIs, and security principles.</p> <h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Architectural Design: Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance Java-based application architectures, often using microservices.</li> <li>Technical Leadership: Provide guidance, mentorship, and direction to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.</li> <li>Collaboration: Work with product managers, business analysts, and other teams to gather requirements and align technical solutions with business goals.</li> <li>Standards &amp; Best Practices: Define technical standards, guidelines, and patterns for Java development.</li> <li>Quality Assurance: Lead code reviews, ensure code quality, and resolve complex technical issues.</li> <li>Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve systems.</li> <li>Documentation: Create and maintain architectural diagrams, technical specifications, and documentation.</li> <li>Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks and system issues.</li> </ul> <h3><strong>Essential Skills &amp; Qualifications:</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Deep experience of 7+ years in Java, Java EE, and related frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Hibernate).</li> <li>Strong understanding of system design, microservices architecture, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), and DevOps principles.</li> <li>Experience with database design, API design, security principles, and CI/CD.</li> <li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.</li> </ul> <p><em>66degrees is an Equal Opportunity employer.
