Summary of Position:
Takeout Specialist
Promptly answers the phone with a smile in your voice. Accurately takes orders & ensure everything is correct before the guest leaves. Also handles all orders placed by Door Dash and Grub hub. When not working on food orders, help maintain greeting and seating guests along with assisting serving staff in the dining area.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide the same quality of service as if the guests are sitting in the restaurant.
- Inform them of specials & menu changes.
- Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy.
- Answer questions about food & beverages.
- Take food & beverage orders & enter them in our point-of-sale system.
- For all food orders including Door Dash and Grubhub - ensure everything the guest might need to enjoy their meal(s) is in the bag(s) including to go silverware, condiments, extra napkins, wet naps, & Recovery logo mint(s).
- Make sure the to-go area is stocked for the next shift.
- Maintain a clean service area.
- Present the check to the guest, accept payment, process credit card charges or make change.
- Thank guests & invite them back.
- Assist seating of guests in the main dining area.
- Continually support the Front of house staff with cleanliness, guest interaction including maintaining Covid related mandates.
Qualifications:
- Be able to communicate & understand the predominant language(s) of our guests.
- Must have a basic knowledge of front-of-house restaurant procedures & functions.
- Possess basic math skills & have the ability to handle money & operate a point-of-sale system.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours).
- Be able to safely lift up to 25 pounds.
- Must have exceptional grooming habits.
