We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Technical Officer to join our Infrastructure Protection and Planning team in our Perth or Brisbane on a 14 Month Max Term Contract.
Reporting to the Corridor Protection Lead, you will be responsible for contributing to the protection of APA Group infrastructure assets where they are intersected by large scale development projects. These may include other infrastructure owner projects, land developments, and transport (road or rail).
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage responses to third-party project works and encroachment requests
Liaise with third parties undertaking works near APA assets, ensuring clear understanding and compliance with APA processes and requirements
Review and interpret engineering drawings, construction methodologies and supporting documentation
Refer proposed works to Engineering Services for assessment where required, in line with procedures, and coordinate responses back to the project proponent
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate work orders, project management activities, cost recovery agreements, and supervision of works
About You
Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to represent APA effectively with external parties while building collaborative working relationships and enforcing APA requirements
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritise effectively, and set clear, realistic timeframes and expectations for project proponents
Demonstrated experience managing contractor and construction-related issues within a utilities or infrastructure environment, including conflict resolution
Sound technical understanding of the requirements and risks associated with working around gas transmission pipeline infrastructure
Good knowledge of construction methodologies and practices, including civil works and utilities maintenance, construction machinery and equipment, and safe excavation and support systems
