About the Role

[What the role is]

This is a 2-year contract position as a Lecturer, Accountancy in the School of Business & Accountancy.

[What you will be working on]

As a Lecturer, you will:

Develop and deliver curriculum (including online courses) and assessments for full-time and part-time courses for students and adult learners.
Supervise student projects and internships with industry partners.
Counsel and mentor students to support their learning and personal development, provide education and career guidance, and coach them for competitions.
Undertake academic-related administration and committee work, support outreach activities and study trips, and ad-hoc projects that support the school’s mission.
Plan, lead, manage and develop industry projects.

[What we are looking for]

At least 3 years’ relevant industry experience. Prior teaching experience (part-time or full-time) will be an advantage.
A nurturing mindset with passion for working with young adults and mature learners.
Ability to use innovative teaching strategies to motivate learners.
Working experience or competency in AI, analytics, automation/RPA, cloud accounting and/or sustainability or climate accounting/reporting.
Ability to teach intermediate/advanced financial accounting or taxation will also be an advantage
Competent to plan, develop and teach accounting-related modules and manage collaborative initiatives with industry partners.
Agile and adaptable and able to multitask whilst working independently as well as in a team setting
