Are you interested in working in challenging and versatile Summer Trainee tasks in Corporate legal or IRP?
As our Corporate Legal team summer trainee, you will assist in legal research and legal analysis tasks, translation assignments, drafting and reviewing basic legal documents., handling administrative duties such as singing processes, maintaining legal files, updating electronic IT systems, communication with authorities and supporting in sanctions related screening processes. This position is located in Espoo.
As our Corporate relations summer trainee, you’ll prepare Valmet´s statutory obligation to report the memberships of its associations carrying lobbying activities globally to the Finnish and EU’s Transparency Registers. You’ll also have everyday advocacy tasks and internal communication about the changing operating environment. This position is located in Espoo.
As an IPR Summer Trainee, you will collect and analyze prior art, evaluate inventions for patentability, support patent application processes, and review competitor patent portfolios. Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) refer to legal protections for creations of the mind, such as inventions, patents, trademarks, and designs. In this role, you will learn how companies safeguard their innovations and maintain a competitive edge through strategic IP management. This position can be located in either Jyväskylä or Vantaa.
What do we expect from you?
- Bachelor’s or master’s student in law at university (Legal)
- Or Bachelor’s or master’s student in law, economics or technology at University (Corporate relations)
- Or Bachelor’s or master’s student in Technical university, majoring in Mechanical engineering, process & environmental technology, bioproducts, or engineering physics (IPR)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Systematic and organized working style and attention to details
- Proficiency in common MS Office tools (Excel, Word)
- Fluent English skills both spoken and written
