Position Summary:
Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) is a management consulting and business advisory firm providing top-tier advisory and technical services to philanthropic foundations, international organisations, donors, governments, non-profits, and corporations. We specialise in strategy, policy, and program implementation across food systems, nutrition, agriculture, health, and climate. Our experts work with diverse partners, including investors, corporates, and foundations committed to sustainable food systems and value addition.
The Marketing, Communications & Knowledge Management Lead will drive FHSA’s marketing, communications, media relations, and brand visibility efforts while strengthening the organisation’s internal knowledge-sharing culture. This role blends strategic marketing, communications, media relations, content development, multimedia storytelling, and knowledge management to position FHSA as a leading advisor and thought partner in sustainable food systems and related sectors. While experience in development sectors is valuable, the primary focus is corporate marketing, communications, media visibility, and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing, Communications & Branding
Develop and implement a comprehensive Marketing, Communications & Knowledge Management Strategy aligned with FHSA’s corporate objectives.
Lead brand positioning and visibility across all channels, ensuring a high-impact, consistent corporate image.
Design and execute marketing campaigns to increase visibility and generate business leads.
Ensure corporate messaging is consistent internally and externally.
Media Relations & Outreach
Build and maintain relationships with national and regional media houses; leverage existing partnerships to amplify FHSA’s messaging.
Plan, schedule, and lead media rounds, interviews, and press briefings end-to-end.
Coordinate press releases, media statements, and interviews to maximise coverage and public visibility.
Track media coverage and assess impact using analytics to inform future media strategies.
Content Development, Storytelling & Multimedia
Craft compelling narratives from technical, policy, and project content for diverse audiences.
Produce high-quality content: case studies, reports, policy briefs, blogs, newsletters, capability statements, presentations, and documentaries.
Capture program insights, stakeholder stories, and organisational achievements into engaging, multi-format content including video documentaries and multimedia storytelling projects.
Translate complex technical insights into accessible, visually engaging content for broad audiences.
Digital Marketing & Lead Generation
Manage FHSA’s digital presence: website, social media channels, and email marketing platforms.
Create marketing content and campaigns that drive engagement and generate leads.
Track performance across all digital platforms using KPIs and metrics to measure reach, engagement, conversion, and impact.
Continuously optimize content and strategies based on analytics and performance insights.
Knowledge Management & Learning
Design and implement systems for knowledge capture, storage, and sharing to enhance organisational learning.
Document and disseminate best practices, lessons learned, research findings, and insights from technical teams.
Promote a culture of internal knowledge sharing and collaborative learning.
Business Development Support
Review and contribute to proposals, capability statements, pitch decks, and partnership communications.
Build internal capacity in storytelling, content creation, marketing, media engagement, multimedia production, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
5–7 years of experience in corporate marketing, communications, media relations, or knowledge management.
Proven experience in brand visibility, marketing campaigns, lead generation, and media relations, including managing media partnerships and rounds.
Experience producing multimedia content and documentaries.
Strong writing, editing, storytelling, and visual content creation skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing tools).
Proficiency with digital platforms: websites, social media, and email marketing tools.
Experience with knowledge management systems and internal/external communications.
Strong analytical skills, including tracking KPIs, engagement, and campaign performance.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, relationship management, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Creative, proactive, and able to translate complex ideas into clear, impactful messaging.
