Location: Lagos, Nigeria (60% office, 40% remote – minimum 3 days in the office)

Position Summary:


Food Health Systems Advisory (FHSA) is an advisory firm providing technical, research, and strategic services across food systems, nutrition, and climate. We work with private sector clients, development partners, foundations, and public institutions.


The HR Learning, Development & Talent Placement Officer plays a key role in supporting capacity-building programs, development initiatives, and talent placement activities across the organization. This role focuses on designing and coordinating structured learning programs, supporting project-based development initiatives, and placing talent into roles or programs where their skills can grow and contribute effectively. The position works closely with program leads, HR teams, trainers, and external partners to ensure learning and placement outcomes are met.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Learning & Capability Coordination

  • Own the planning, design, and structure of learning and development programs for employees, trainees, or project participants.

  • Manage program schedules, training sessions, facilitators, and resources independently.

  • Develop program materials, handbooks, content modules, and orientation packages.

  • Track program milestones, deliverables, and participant progress.

  • Gather and analyse feedback to continuously improve programs and participant experience.


2. Learning Delivery & Engagement

  • Facilitate onboarding, orientation, and learning sessions for program participants.

  • Provide daily support to participants during training or development cycles.

  • Ensure smooth execution of workshops, trainings, field visits, or project-based learning activities.

  • Serve as the central point of communication between trainers, project leads, and participants.

  • Monitor attendance, learning engagement, and training completion metrics.


3. Talent Placement for Programs & Internal Needs

  • Take ownership of identifying and selecting participants for development programs or project placements.

  • Lead screening, shortlisting, and assessment processes.

  • Independently match participants to program tracks, departments, or project roles based on competencies.

  • Coordinate with managers and project teams to ensure seamless placement and onboarding.

  • Maintain accurate records of placements, deployment status, and participant performance.


4. HR & Program Operations

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all programs, trainings, and placement processes.

  • Prepare periodic reports on program outcomes, participant progress, and placement results.

  • Drive engagement activities, evaluations, and capability-building events across programs.

  • Ensure programs comply with organizational HR policies and standards.

  • Monitor program budgets, resource allocation, and vendor/trainer coordination as required.



Requirements


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, Business Administration, Development Studies, or a related field

  • Experience in learning coordination, training, HR, or development projects (preferred)

  • Strong proficiency with Google workspace,learning and development tools,Slides,MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Experience in managing learning programs, development initiatives, or youth/employee placement programs is an advantage

  • Self-starter with strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives independently

  • Digital training and facilitation experience
