About the Role

Description

Evaluate patients to obtain data necessary for treatment.

Provide occupational therapy treatment to patients per the Plan of Care and in accordance with the physician’s prescription.

Maintain required documentation in a timely manner and in accordance with CRM requirements.

Effectively supervise and promote clinical development of COTA’s, rehab techs, interns, and volunteers.

Maintain an appropriate daily schedule to maximize departmental efficiency and ensure quality patient care.

Maintain effective communication with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.

Participate in educational and professional activities that enhance self, co-workers, and patient care.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

 

Education:       Graduate of an AOTA accredited occupational therapy program.

 

Experience:     Two years of clinical experience, with 1 in an outpatient setting preferred.  Advanced clinical experience in outpatient orthopedics, industrial medicine, neurology, rheumatology or gerontology preferred.

 

Other Requirements:   CPR certification within 3 months of employment.  AOTA registration as an occupational therapist.  Current Florida licensure.
