About The Company
Gas Land Petroleum is an unprecedented occurrence in the business world. Established in 1979, founder Majed "Mitch" Nesheiwat became an operator for Powertest (now Getty), from that his life as an entrepreneur changed forever. Mitch Worked at a single gas station in the late 1970’s as a lessee for Getty petroleum, he began to bring bottles of water and snacks to sell behind the counter as people got oil changes or filled up their cars. As a result, Mitch brought the modern-day gas station and convenience store hybrid in Hudson valley, NY. Gas Land Petroleum is now a Triple A company and has a sales forecast of over 100 million gallons for 2014. The company distributes Sunoco, Shell, Citgo, Gulf, ConocoPhillips and it invests in new sites to include co-branded companies like Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, Subway, Domino’s Pizza, and phone carrier Verizon Wireless. With over 30 years in Hudson Valley, GLP is not only the first of its kind: it’s also one of the most successful. Despite this success, GLP later formed Gas Land Trucking, Inc which owns and operates a fleet of tractor-trailers to service and deliver petroleum products to its locations, and Nesheiwat Builders, which provides the efficient construction of all Gas Land facilities at a price lower than the competition. Because of this, Gas Land is able to improve bottom line profitability while passing the savings onto the customer. Gas Land Petroleum developed a reputation for setting market trends in Hudson Valley, NY; with its forward thinking business model and award winning designs GLP recognizes the most important project stakeholder as being not the individuals financially responsible for constructing the project, but rather the members of the community who are served by the project and who Gas Land Petroleum relies upon to support our operations. Stations and stores are designed individually to cater to the needs of a particular community, and there is no company brand. Instead, locations are designed by the architectural standards of the community and are branded by the fuel.
