Your role in a nutshell:

 

Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) has businesses in Hungary, Romania, Albania and Spain, Turkey, India, Egypt, Germany, Ireland, is a key element in Vodafone’s broader programme to transform, standardise and digitalise the management of various processes across commercial activities such as Customer Operations, Business, Corporate Functions, IT & Networks, and support functions such as Legal, Finance, HR, and the security teams. The VOIS strategy is underpinned by the ‘safe, secure and compliant’ agenda which is its license to operate for serving Vodafone local markets and group functions. 

 

 

What you'll do:

 

 

  • Advise on labour law issues in Hungary and build a solid external network of advisors to support lawyers across the wider VOIS organisation to advise on labour law matters across the VOIS organisation
  • Develop and provide training on labour law compliance to HR teams in VOIS and advise on related policy development
  • Support legal leaders in handling labour law disputes
  • Support or manage contentious matters such as contract disputes or regulatory investigations.
  • Represent the company in interactions with external counsel and regulatory authorities.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on the performance of contracts and compliance with Hungarian and EU laws
  • Support the business in structuring transactions and mitigating legal risks
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining corporate policies and bylaws
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise on a range of legal issues

 

 

What you will bring to our team:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in private practice or an in-house legal role within the industry.
  • Proven expertise in non-contentious commercial law matters; experience with contentious matters is a plus.
  • Familiarity with intellectual property and antitrust law is advantageous.
  • Deep understanding of Hungarian commercial and Labour laws, with knowledge of EU regulations.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills for complex agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal) in English, German & fluency in Hungarian is essential.
