About the Role

Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical Unit


Location:

Tallahassee, Florida


Compensation:

  • Hourly Rate: $27.72 – $39.60 (based on experience)

  • Shift Differentials:

    • $3.00/hour for night shifts

    • $2.00/hour for weekend shifts

  • Sign-On Bonus: Up to $20,000 (case-by-case basis)


Position Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical Unit at a leading acute care facility in Tallahassee, FL. This position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a collaborative, team-focused environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and create individualized care plans

  • Deliver and coordinate evidence-based nursing care

  • Advocate for patient safety and well-being

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team

  • Educate patients and families about medications, treatment plans, and recovery expectations

  • Respond independently and effectively in clinical situations


Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Florida (or ability to obtain prior to start)

  • Minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience required

  • Acute care experience preferred; LTAC experience considered

  • Current BLS certification (required)

  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred


Work Environment:

  • Patient-to-Nurse Ratio: 1:5 to 1:6

  • Shift Options:

    • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (rotating weekends)

    • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (rotating weekends)
