About the Role

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Neuro (Stroke Unit)
Location: Sanford, FL
Schedule: Full-Time | Days or Nights (Rotating Weekends)
Salary Range:

  • $30.75 – $34.87 (with 5 years of experience)

  • $39.04 (with 10 years of experience)

  • $44.68 (with 17+ years of experience)
    Night Shift Differential: $4.50/hr
    Weekend Differential: $1.50/hr
    Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 (Day shift) | $15,000 (Night shift)
    Relocation Assistance: Case-by-case


Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care for adults recovering from medical, surgical, cardiac, and neurological conditions

  • Assess patient health, identify issues, and create and implement individualized plans of care

  • Monitor vital signs and respond to critical situations

  • Serve as a patient advocate and key team member in interdisciplinary collaboration

  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans

  • Promote patient safety, effective resource use, and compassionate, evidence-based care


Requirements:

  • 1 year of recent (within the last 1–2 years) acute care RN experience preferred

    • Acute rehab (e.g., Kindred, Encompass, HealthSouth, Select Specialty) accepted if candidate is comfortable in stroke unit

  • RN license in the State of Florida (or compact license, with FL license required within 60 days of hire)

  • Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

  • BLS required within 30 days of start (AHA)

  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required within 30 days

  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
