Your Role as a Physical Therapist

As a Physical Therapist , you’ll provide high-quality, patient-centered care by managing the therapeutic process for an assigned group of patients. Here’s what you’ll do:

• Patient Assessments & Care Plans:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations and develop individualized care plans that focus on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive outcomes.
  • Collaborate with physicians and the patient care team to ensure comprehensive treatment.

• Therapeutic Interventions:

  • Provide purposeful and skilled therapeutic care using evidence-based procedures and techniques to improve patients’ functional status.
  • Administer treatments consistent with the physician’s plan of care.

• Patient Education:

  • Instruct patients, families, and caregivers on the use of therapies, exercises, therapeutic appliances, and prosthetic devices for use outside therapy sessions.

• Caseload Management:

  • Prioritize caseloads, determine daily staffing needs, and coordinate assignments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ensure timely handoffs and seamless transitions throughout the continuum of care.

• Compliance & Ethics:

  • Adhere to all legal and ethical standards established by law and professional codes of conduct.

Who We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Experience: At least 2 years of recent acute care experience as a Physical Therapist.
• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Certifications: Current Physical Therapist license in Florida; Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient engagement skills.
