Job Description
The position of Account Director - Luxury is to be set based in Kuala Lumpur focusing on luxury segment all across Europe, bringing in and convert the leads into business. High self-discipline, self-starter and hungry for business having full focus in bringing our revenue to another new high contributing from the European market. The incumbent should be someone well versed with Luxury Consortia segment, whom already familiar with all our existing luxury platform/extranet namely Serendipian, Virtuoso and AMEX FHR.
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done as Account Director - Luxury.
Within this, the key responsibilities for this position are to:
- Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing to provide sales and marketing services to potential luxury clienteles within the assigned sales territory.
- Provide a full area market intelligence service about the competition and the travel trade market and trends on a monthly basis.
- Submit and complete monthly sales activity plan.
- Solicit segmentation of clientele adapted to the properties: MICE for corporate and incentive groups, and Key corporate of Singapore and all potential markets determined by Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Carry on the sales in the assigned territory by providing contacts, list of prospects, office facilities and technical equipment as determined by Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Focus on assertively establishing new client contacts and developing detailed information on the potential revenues from these accounts for the portfolio of Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas.
- Participate in client familiarization trips, site inspections, sales trips and roadshows as required to meet the sales targets.
- Provide a monthly report about all sales activities and business trends.
- Handle sales events, exhibitions and sales trips upon budget plan for appointed market.
- Introduce and update key and select travel agents through join and sole sales calls.
- Co-host breakfasts, lunches and dinners with relevant trade partners to present Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. to key customers in appointed market.
- Handle all incoming inquiries from the trade, consumer, and media from designated territory.
- Ensure that all hotels are featured in all major websites and reservations systems throughout the region that are deemed appropriate for the brand, unless otherwise agreed by Minor International.
- Continually review the actual production of each account against the potential contracted.
- Ensure that Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas is positioned within the marketplace.
- Maintain accurate management status reporting on business results, and associated action planning.
- Ensures an up-to-date knowledge on all Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. product and service offerings, including promotions. In addition, to be familiar with the products, services, rates new developments of our key competitors, and an awareness of general industry trends.
- Create and implement packages and promotions for periods of low occupancy.
- Drive opportunities to up sell and cross-sell Anantara Desaru Coast Resort & Villas. products and services.
- Maintain a full working knowledge of the IT support tools used in the world of sales today, including sales-specific software, property PMS, the Microsoft Office toolset
- Ensure that all administration work is processed quickly and efficiently.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
• Pro-active, self motivated, loves challenges
• A minimum of 5-8 years of relevant work experience in a 5 star Hotel
• Excellent communication skills
• The ability to achieve sales targets and work in a highly pressurized environment
• Passion to lead and a desire to succeed
