Civmec is seeking experienced and motivated HSE Advisors to join our team in Henderson, WA, supporting a major Defence program delivering state-of-the-art Offshore Patrol Vessels. This role plays a key part in ensuring world-class health, safety and environmental standards are upheld throughout the entire project lifecycle. Relocation support is available for successful candidates.

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities

• Providing expert HSE advice and guidance in alignment with company standards, legislation and client expectations.
  
• Developing, implementing and monitoring HSE management systems, procedures and policies to enable safe and sustainable project delivery.
  
• Conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, audits and inspections to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  
• Championing a strong safety culture through toolbox talks, training sessions and engagement initiatives.
  
• Collaborating with project managers, subcontractors and key stakeholders to ensure consistent alignment with HSE objectives.
  
• Preparing and maintaining accurate HSE reports, records and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  
• Supporting continuous improvement by analysing HSE performance and driving proactive safety solutions

About You

To be successful in the role you will possess the following:

• A Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety
• ICAM or Taproot certification
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar HSE role
• Experience using HSE management databases
• Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholder groups
• Proven incident investigation capability (ICAM, Taproot)
  
  

Due to the Security Clearance required for this position, applicants must be an Australian Citizen and eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
