Join our dynamic team at American Family Care in Montgomery, AL, as a Medical Assistant! In this vital role, you will support our healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
  • Perform vital signs checks and document patient information accurately
  • Manage patient flow and ensure a positive patient experience
  • Administer medications and injections as directed by providers
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the medical office
  • Handle front desk duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and follow-up care
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant preferred
  • Prior experience in a medical or clinical setting is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and office procedures
  • Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
  • Compassionate demeanor with a focus on patient care
  • Current CPR certification is a plus

Compensation: $17.50 - $20.50 per hour
