Behavior Support Coach

The duties are performed primarily in a classroom and office but may also include client’s homes, or other environments as needed.
Hours: Full Time, Year-Round
Hourly Rate: $26.50
Preferred candidates will:
- Relate positively with young children and families
- Be passionate about providing quality care and learning opportunities as well as a safe environment for young children
- Work cooperatively with other team members
- Love children and wish to work in a team-oriented environment
- Have knowledge and interest of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
- Be able to supervise a small team
- Be able to use basic math skills for statical purposes and to analyze data
- Ability to develop thoughtful, relevant intervention plans
Child Focus is seeking dedicated early childhood professionals to serve as Behavior Support Coach.
Child Focus is a GOLD rated Step Up to Quality Program and provides high quality early childhood services.
The Behavior Support Coach is responsible to provide relevant training for Early Learning staff and families, oversee Conscious Discipline training and utilize this training in the classroom. They provide hands-on support for teachers in the classrooms with significant behavior and social-emotional concerns using trauma informed practices and Conscious Discipline strategies.

Requirements
Degree Required:
Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field. 3-5 years direct teaching experience, mental health consultation experience or coaching teachers working with young children ages 0-5; experience working with children with challenging behaviors strongly preferred.
Desired Qualifications: Background in Special Education/Inclusion or Mental Health, prior Head Start experience.
RA, LSW, LISW, LPC or LPCC preferred. Ability to obtain RA credential and Infant Mental Health Credential. Registration with OCCRRA required upon hire for training purposes.
