About the Role

Description

Come join the 2nd largest Medical Waste Service Provider in the country for an exciting position! We provide excellent customer service to local hospitals and healthcare professionals and represent one of the most prominent companies in the Medical Waste Industry. As a Class A Long-Haul Driver, you will be responsible for servicing assigned Large Quantity (LQ) and Small Quantity (SQ) accounts, ensuring safe and compliant transport of medical waste while providing the highest level of customer service. This role supports same-day servicing with no sleepover routes, allowing drivers to complete routes and return the same day. You will manage routes efficiently, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers to resolve issues promptly. Key Responsibilities

  • Complete routine scheduled preventative maintenance across assigned facilities. 
  • Pick up and transport regulated medical waste safely according to all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Manage assigned LQ and SQ customer routes, ensuring timely and accurate service.
  • Review and plan daily schedules using manifests, route sheets, and other documentation.
  • Ensure customers’ waste is properly packaged and ready for transport.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, communicating issues to supervisors or dispatchers. 
  • Complete all required paperwork, including route documentation and DOT Driver Logs.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues promptly. 
  • Communicate route changes, discrepancies, or non-routine situations to ensure smooth coverage. 
  • Operate a variety of vehicles including Dry Van 53’ trailers, Jockey and Roll-Off trucks, Manual Transmission, and Refrigerated Trailers (Reefer). 
  • Utilize ELD (Electronic Driver Log) systems for accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Class A CDL required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of tractor trailer driving experience.
  • Proven experience with Dry Van 53’ trailers, Roll-Offs, Jockey trucks, manual transmission, and refrigerated trailers (Reefer).
  • Valid DOT Medical Card.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle records check.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, or handle containers and carts of varying weight (up to 300 pounds with proper equipment).
  • Ability to exert up to 150 pounds occasionally, 60 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly.
  • May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements.
