Requirements

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

As an assistant maintenance tech, you play a key role in ensuring our residents are happy with their residences. Working with the lead supervisor, you monitor and maintain all buildings that are assigned while implementing safety standards that comply with company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines. By maintaining a professional and courteous tone, you communicate with residents and gather valuable insight into the needs of the community.

You will be required to perform industry standard assistant maintenance duties, some of which include:

• Completing work orders, cleaning up the grounds, and turning vacant units. 
• Picking up trash, sweeping curbs and dumpster areas, and maintaining common areas. 
• Ensuring the workshop, utility room, and mechanical rooms are always clean, orderly, and free of potential hazards. 
• Track of inventory, placing orders for materials as needed and supplying receipts to both the property manager and maintenance supervisor. 
• Responding within thirty minutes during your designated on-call hours.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

• HVAC and pool certified
• Experience using a variety of tools and equipment
• Experience reading blueprints and various other architectural documents
• Experience identifying, reviewing, and obtaining bids on projects in need of supervision from outside contractors
• Experience maintaining files and keeping inventory of supplies
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and perform other physical duties
• Ability to give and receive instructions

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

This maintenance tech position works a typical schedule of 40 hours Monday through Friday, with shared emergency on-call hours.
