Job Summary:
- The TIM (Treatment in Motion) SUDP (Substance Use Disorder Professional) position is part of the Counseling team in Behavioral Health and supports ETS’s mission by providing assessments, individual and group counseling, case management, community outreach, and comprehensive care for participants enrolled in the Treatment in Motion program.
- This role is essential to ETS’s mission, serving as the primary care team coordinator for assigned participants and connecting them to the Evergreen Treatment Services Mobile Dispensary (TIM) as well as other community and clinic-based resources through outreach and engagement.
What you contribute to this role:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Complete an initial ASAM assessment.
- Provide the initial intake when needed.
- Facilitate individual and group counseling sessions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation of all engagement with participants and external stakeholders.
- Create and update individualized treatment plans.
- Provide community-based SUD services for individuals seeking and participating in MOUD services.
- Regular travel in support of community-based MOUD services as required.
- Provide timely responses to positive urinalysis/breathalyzer results.
- Coordinate letters of assistance and referral for assigned participants.
- Conduct community-based outreach and engagement activities to connect individuals with TIM and other community and clinic-based services.
- Complete treatment summaries for discharged participants.
- Complete required state and agency recording forms.
- Provide telehealth counseling services.
- Engage in weekly interdisciplinary staff meetings to address and support participant needs.
- Participate in treatment care team meetings to review progress, address appeals, administrative actions, and non-adherence to program guidelines.
- Provide clinic-based counseling services as needed.
- May be asked to observe participant urine collection for drug screen urinalysis when needed.
Regulatory & Compliance Expectations
- Consistently adhere to established policies, procedures, and documentation timelines.
- Protect participant privacy and confidentiality at all times, in accordance with HIPAA.
- Follow confidentiality requirements outlined in 42 CFR, Part 2.
- Maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and conduct in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and professional codes of practice.
- Attend professional development and other relevant training as required.
Collaboration & Team Participation
- Work closely with outreach service team members to support individuals seeking MOUD services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community service providers to facilitate community referrals to TIM.
- Engage in scheduled supervision for clinical consultation, skill development, and support.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to coordinate care.
- Maintain integrity and professionalism in all workplace environments.
- Participate in peer chart and documentation audits.
- Collaborate with staff to advance ETS’s mission by addressing systemic harm and inequity and promoting community health and safety through work focused on substance use and homelessness.

Requirements
What you bring to this role – Qualifications:
Education and/or Relevant and Lived Experience (if applicable):
- WA State Department of Health Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP) certification is required as defined by WAC 246-811.
- Academic training in the social services field and in substance use disorder treatment is required
- Individuals with lived experienced related to our organization's participant population is highly desired
- Work experience related to substance use disorders, social work, or outreach programs
- Experience providing services from a harm reduction perspective to individuals experiencing behavioral health challenges is highly desirable
- Experience providing community based MOUD services preferred
Additional Essential Information:
Physical Conditions and Requirements:
- The employee may be exposed to illicit drug residues and fumes or other bio-hazardous materials when carrying out job functions. There is also potential for exposure to bloodborne pathogens. ETS will provide employees with appropriate training to limit the risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens. Policies and procedures are in place addressing each item specifically.
- The employee is regularly required to stand, sit; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls with hands and arms and talk or hear; walk, and kneel; occasionally to climb, balance, or stoop; rarely to crouch or crawl.
- In addition, the position frequently requires the employee to work outside in inclement weather.
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, color, and peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is moderate
