Position Summary:
The Director of Sales is responsible for leading and developing the sales department, ensuring that team members meet company goals and maintain strong client relationships, while growing our customer base and working with other Senior Managers to create and execute our overall sales strategy. This role focuses on coaching, training, strategy development, and performance management to drive growth through the success of our team.
Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to achieve departmental goals while setting the standard for professionalism and accountability within the sales team.
· Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company’s customer base and strengthen market presence.
· Develop budgets, targets, and objectives for the sales team to promote company growth.
· Schedule and lead regular sales meetings to review goals, opportunities and challenges.
· Manage day-to-day performance of sales team members, providing ongoing coaching, training, and feedback.
· Conduct performance evaluations and recommend professional development plans.
· Recruit, onboard, and develop high-performing sales professionals.
· Monitor, develop, and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
· Ensure CRM and other sales applications are used correctly to ensure data accuracy and transparency.
· Work with Senior Management to review contracts and proposals prepared by the sales team for accuracy and compliance.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with production, design, project management, and installation teams to ensure client satisfaction.
· Ensure adherence to company policies, safety and compliance standards.
· Perform other duties as assigned by Senior Management.
Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· Proven experience managing and developing a high-performing sales team.
· Possess an analytical mindset with strong strategic thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
· Ability to develop, understand, and analyze sales performance metrics and translate them into actionable goals.
· Solid customer service and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Ability to travel as needed.
· Be positive and enthusiastic with strong business acumen and a “can do” attitude.
Additional Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Professional Selling or other relevant field of study is required.
· Minimum 5+ years in a Sales Manager, Sales Director, or equivalent Senior Sales position.
· MBA is preferred but not required.
· Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and reference checks.
