Position Summary

Indoor Environmental Services (IES) is expanding its commercial sales organization and is seeking Business Development Representatives to support continued growth across Northern California. This role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new commercial HVAC services and maintenance business within assigned territories.

The ideal candidate is a results-driven professional with a consultive sales approach, strong business insight, and the ability to build trusted relationships with commercial decision-makers.

This role requires a self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, and who can work independently from a remote location.

First year on target earnings range from $100,000 to $200,000+ with uncapped commission potential.


Primary Responsibilities:

· Develop new business opportunities for commercial HVAC maintenance and service work

· Identify and engage key decision-makers within commercial and industrial facilities

· Conduct structured, consultative sales meetings to understand customer operational needs

· Present and recommend customized HVAC service and maintenance solutions

· Manage prospecting, pipeline development, and opportunity progression

· Maintain accurate activity and opportunity records within a CRM and use reporting tools

· Collaborate with internal operations and service teams to ensure successful customer onboarding

· Travel locally to customer and prospect sites as required 


 Compensation package:

· $100,000 - $200,000+ annual on-target earnings (Uncapped commissions)

· Commission-based compensation package

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

· Demonstrated success in business development, outside sales, or new account acquisition

· Strong prospecting, cold-calling, and relationship development capabilities

· Professional communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders and decision-makers

· High level of organization, accountability, and time management

· Ability to work independently while aligning with corporate objectives

· Proficiency with standard business technology and CRM platforms

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

· Prior outside sales experience in a competitive B2B environment

· Familiarity with commercial real estate, property management, or facility operations

· Experience selling commercial HVAC maintenance agreements or mechanical solutions

Additional Requirements:

· Valid driver’s license (required as an essential function of the work being performed)

· Willingness to travel locally, up to 25%

· In-person work with office and field responsibilities

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this commission based position is $100,000 to $200,000 per year. This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skills sets, experience and training, licensures and certifications, education, and other business and organizational needs. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
