Location: NAS Oceana, VA

What You’ll Do:

 
As the Contract Program Security Officer, you will support our government customer on-site at NAS Oceana, VA. Responsibilities include:  

  • Develop, train, and maintain personnel on facility standard operating procedures (SOP), facility OPSEC plan, fixed facility checklists, and appointment letters.
  • Administer self-inspections for security audits and develop a corrective action plan.
  • Perform duties as the Top-Secret Control Officer including executing a TS accountability program and submitting inventory reports annually.
  • Establish and maintain all office and security documents in accordance with government requirements and provide weekly updates to the customer.
  • Manage program access requests (PARs) process and facilitate preparation of documentation, as well as program indoctrination.
  • Assist with sensitive compartmented information (SCI) requests, indoctrinations, visits, and required training.
  • Maintain access control rosters and establish a visitor control program giving guidance to the Access Control Security Specialist (24/7/365 access).
  • Coordinate with customer security representatives in order to initiate, process, and maintain employee clearances through DISS, Scattered Castles, and other systems of record.
  • Prepare, transmit, and maintain visit certification letters.
  • Responsible for document control functions and developing procedures to ensure all materials and media contain proper classification markings, wrapping, cover sheets, and handling and transmission of classified data.
  • Conduct document control functions including entering data in JADE properly, developing and overseeing receipt and dispatch requirements, organizing original and copies of documents, providing document holdings lists, managing and improving SIMS database, and assisting in timely locating documents assigned to others/offices.

Requirements

What You’ll Bring:

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 5 years of experience as a Contractor Program Security Officer (or a similar Program Security role), required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience working with the following manuals: NISPOM, DoDM 5105.21, DoDM 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, ICD 700 series, RMF/JSIG.
  • Requires a thorough understanding of DD-254 Implementation.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and maintain a multi-disciplined security program for complex, major acquisition programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of OPSEC, personnel, industrial, physical, and information security principles.
  • Proficiency with DISS, EPSQ/e-QIP.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Certificate training in CDSE, desired.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The anticipated annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $145,000, commensurate with an individual’s experience, qualifications, and skill set. ASEC is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation.
