Job Description:

As part of our focus on growth, process integration and service, we are now seeking a Director of Customs and Trade Compliance to build and grow our present structure of the company in the US. The primary responsibilities of this position would be to:

•  Oversee the team of Customs Brokers and Entry Writers at Point US
•  Compliance and regulatory matters   
•  Optimizing processes to increase efficiency & maximize performance
•  Consistently delivering superior service to internal and external clients
•  Fostering innovation, continuous improvement & operation excellence
•  Developing strict controls and ensuring robust regulatory and bid compliance
•  Forging win-win strategi alliances & building mutually profitable partnerships 
•  Possesses extensive knowledge of the changing market and how to utilize technology to optimize business opportunities

Requirements

•  15 years of experience in a similar role
•  Familiar with US Customs, regulations and compliance, air, ocean and land methods of transportation
•  US Customs Broker license holder 
•  Detailed and Organized
•  Proficient at MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) 
•  Very familiar with industry software such as Magaya or Cargowise
•  Availability to travel once or twice per month 
•  Fast learner – able to grasp concepts outside area of expertise
