Description

Christ Panos Foods a leading food distribution company in Itasca, Illinois, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our dynamic warehouse team. The Receiver will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain by accurately inspecting, verifying, and recording incoming shipments. This position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and teamwork to maintain inventory accuracy and uphold the quality standards of Christ Panos Foods.

Position Details:  Schedule: Monday – Friday 9am-6pm 

Starting Pay: $21.00/hour  

Duties and Responsibilities:  

• Receive and process purchase orders with accuracy and efficiency  
• Prepare and print Bills of Lading and Transfer Orders  
• Maintain organized records by filing shipping and receiving documentation  
• Welcome delivery drivers, verify documentation, and direct them to the appropriate dock  
• Process returns receipts and ensure proper documentation for returned items  
• Audit invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly  
• Monitor and update files on shared drive, ensuring up to date and accurate records  
• Conduct inventory check and address discrepancies through troubleshooting and resolution  
• Perform additional tasks assigned

Work Environment - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial truck. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for the duration of the production shift; talk or hear; use hands or finger to handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is infrequently required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 70 pounds.

Requirements

• Background check and drug test  
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving  
• Prior experience in the food industry with knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices  
• Familiarity with ERP software  
• High School Diploma or GED
