How you make a difference

The Regional Director of Operations (RDO) oversees personnel management, client management, clinical quality management, and operations management for jails in their region. They ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical care to inmates by allocating healthcare funds appropriately and meeting commitments to all stakeholders. The RDO provides guidance and support to HSAs, trains clinical staff, shares performance information with clients, acts as a conduit between the field and corporate office, and collaborates with all functions in the corporate office. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the regional operations of correctional healthcare facilities, including personnel management, clinical quality management, client management, and operations management. 
  • Collaborate with corporate functions and outside partners to ensure program success, maintain excellent working relationships with clients and staff, and identify and share best practices with facility staff. 
  • Monitor adherence to contract, policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements, and ensure facilities achieve clinical, service, and operating objectives. 
  • Manage staffing plans, schedules, payroll, equipment purchases, and operating metrics to achieve program goals and participate in the development of annual operating plans. 
  • Conduct performance evaluations, identify development opportunities, provide training and standardized in-services, and engage in proactive and ongoing performance management to ensure the highest quality clinical care is delivered to inmates. 

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Five plus years of experience in correctional operations management or correctional health experience.
  • Multi-site management experience required.
