The Paralegal provides critical support to attorneys in all phases of litigation and case management. This role requires strong legal drafting skills, familiarity with court procedures, and the ability to manage a high-volume caseload with precision and professionalism. A Paralegal typically support two or more or Attorneys, achieving minimum billable standards.
Primary Job Duties:
- Draft legal memoranda, pleadings, subpoenas, discovery demands and responses, correspondence, and discovery motions
- Organize, chart, and process incoming records and invoices
- Follow up on outstanding records via phone, email, and mail
- Prepare answers and legal correspondence
- Manage a large caseload while supporting multiple attorneys
- Review documents for relevance and privilege in preparation for disclosure
- Conduct case law research using Lexis Advance and public access websites to support defense strategies
- Assist attorneys in preparing for mediation and trial
- Retrieve and save documents using the firm’s document management system

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a practice group paralegal
- Familiarity with state courts, including e-filing procedures
- Experience in drafting legal documents and managing billing processes
- Proficiency in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, especially Outlook and Word
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
- Experience with Aderant Total Office (ATO) and NetDocs preferred
- Proficiency in Lexis Advance for legal research
